Actually it gave me some hopes.
Today I had an interview at a small hospital.
They said that they would give me a final offer after doing background and reference checks.
So I told them that currently I had an OPT but needed the sponsorship for the green card.
However, they had never had the case like this.
Thus I would like to show some materials needed for processing the sponsorship.
If you have some information about those materials or a good immigration attorney, would you please let me know them?
Thank you very much.
I would definitely look for an immigration attorney in another state, since there are very few there that specialize in handling nurse applicants. I only recommend a couple that are on the West Coast.

Sorry, but I do not buy it. They are still pocketing a ton of money, and how much is the housing allowance? What I have seen provided, I would not even leavoe one of my dogs there overnight. And ten people to a studio apt, or eight people to a four bedroom apt with only one and a half baths just does not make it on my list.

You asked for my opinion, you are getting taken advantage of. Your choice if you accept it or not.

Hi,

I'm planning to apply the application for examination in Vermont and planing to take the exam in Hong Kong. I'm here in Singapore right now and I'm a Filipino.

What can you say about Vermont as my State of Choice. just want to hear any comments and suggestion for you as an experienced mentor?

Thank you, God Bless.

Respectfully,
DANNY

The issue is where you are going to work. Vermont does nto require the CES, but many other states do, even to endorse. And you will need to meet the requirements of where you want to work.

Hong Kong has over a two month wait, so I would definitely rethink your plan on that as well.

Hello Suzanne!!
I am from Israel. Now waiting for USCIS approval. Could you tell please how much time takes till USCIS and NVS approval for nurses from Israel. Also how much time takes for getting reciept number from USCIS, if my pettition was filled on may 4.
Thank you very much!
Hope to be in USA on 12/31/06

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Depends on if there is any other information that they will need. The petition process can vary greatly, depending on where you are going to work, and when the documents actually get filed by the employer. The petition is the just the first part step of the process. Once you get approval on that, then the fee for the visa bill will need to be paid, then you will get the DS-230 to complete.

Being in the US with everything completed by the end of the year and ready to begin work, is going to be pushing it. Once the DS-230 is completed, then you still need to go thru medical clearance and the interview at the US Embassy in Israel. Not sure how their schedule is. In Manila, that wait for the interview has been averaging about four months just for that.

if not longer.

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Hi Suzanne! It seemed I will be transferred in Arizona by my employer. I passed the California NCLEX-RN exam, but since I am still here in the Philippines and don't have SS# so I still don't have a license. Do I need to be given a license by California BON before I can apply for a license from Arizona BON (endorsement). How about reciprocity? I am looking for forms about reciprocity in Arizona but I can't find one. And how long will it take upon arriving in AZ and applying for SS# and get a license in AZ considering if it is to be by endorsement I have to sent my SS# to CA and wait for them to give me a license? Thanks by the way that you are there to answer question regarding topics like this. I called my brother earlier in AZ who is a nurse also but well he have no idea and can't answer my question. So thanks for being just a computer away!

There is no such thing as license by reciprocity, it is by endorsement. Only the NCLEX exam has reciprocity. You need to meet the requirements of AZ for getting a license there, and they require the CES for foreign graduates.

You have two options available to you. You can start the AZ process from the beginning, using the License by Examination application, and go that route. And then just have CA forward a copy of the NCLEX results to AZ BON, or you can wait until you get to the US and get a SSN#, which is about one week later. CA will issue you a license within just a few days.
You can then have them verify your license number to AZ and AZ can issue you a temporary license in just about 48 hours. They are still considered a "Walk-thru state." The BON is right in the Central part of Phoenix and is easy to get to.

Depends on how quickly that your employer wants you to begin work.

The most important thing is to check with AZ about the requirments for the CES. More than likely you will need to get that completed.

Hope tha tthis helps...............
