Thank you for your reply.... Yes I have SS# and this is my second attempt. Does it mean I failed?

Only the CA BRN can tell you if you passed or failed. I can only speak of my experience. I also took it for the second time last March. I didn't provide them an SS number when I applied, but I faxed them the SS number the day after my exam. At the 3rd business day, my name was already there. I guess it's a case to case basis. Since you took it out of state, it might take longer. Wait until next week. I've heard of some people who never saw their names online until they received their passing letters. So hang on there. Until you receive your letter telling you failed, there is still hope. Good Luck!

Again, wait two weeks and if no posting of your name, call them to make sure that your file is complete. There just is no second guessing for the BRN, and we have seen it take up to a month to get to see your name in lights or on their website.
Best of luck to you.

hi suzanne.. just need to get your opinion about my case..i have a similar situation with king arthur..
My I-140 was filed last March 16, 2007 by my employer unfortunately it was in Nebraska Service Center.. So, I prepared myself for the long wait.. Currently, the processing time there is February 28, 2007. I am keeping my fingers crossed that hopefully.. yes.. hopefully, on their next released processing time frame, mine will be reached. it's been 13 months already..
with these circumstances, i applied for work in canada and currently waiting for my temporary work visa which is good for one year. if i pass the crne there, and after working for 6 months, i might be qualified for their provincial nominee program and apply for immigrant status..
can my plan to be a canadian immigrant cause any problems in my application for an EB3 visa?
i am under an agency, and it seems that they are too worried and holding my neck a bit tight..
please help..

One country has nothing to do with the other. But where you can come up with issues is with the agency that you signed with to work in the US. They can charge you a large cancellation fee if they want.
You are going to have to look at your contract very closely that you signed with them, and be aware that they can cancel out everything that you have done so far and that would put you back to the very beginning.

Suzanne,
I have 2 questions, 1) i asked earlier about the cgfns test and what book should i study from and you said the best was the book that they provide, but i didnt think that book was affective, it is just questions, and not a lot of material to study. So I was wondering if you suggest something else, if you know a good course, or a tutor.
2) I talk to a lawyer today about my visa status and he told me that they are not giving visas to nurses, is that true??!
thank you

I have informed them(agency) of my decision beforehand of applying for work in another country. I have asked permission from them and they approved as long its a one year contract.
But I am looking in the possibility of not having a visa soon and it might be a good idea to continue working abroad and gain experience just as you suggested to us. Just as I mentioned, my I-140 has not been approved up to this date and its a long queu ahead..
Thank you for your opinions!

Your attorney is correct to some extent, the US is under a recession and therefore there are no visas being issued at this time. Only those that have completed files and approval on all parts of everything and have a current PD have a chance at a visa now.
Depending on your country of birth, you could be looking at five years or more for a chance at a green card.

Re: Adult Critical Care Course/New grad

Hello BBF,
I Need your help big time, i´m a nursing student at Laurea University of applied sciences in finland.
I need your help to get my clinical placement in critical care in the US, it could be 2-3 months. i have just finished 10 weeks in the ICU and i have to do 2-3 months once more between september and november this year.
I will really appreciate for any help that will render to getting a place for my clinical practice at a reputable hospital. I know how big US is but you know places better than i can ever know them from the net from here.
Please i need your help, critical care will be my are of specialisation so i reall want to do it as well somewhere else than finland.
My school could not make any arrangements for me because i chose a country in which they have no partners(which i did not not know). but my friends who chose places like UK have there placements arranged.
But my scholl is ready to pay for all the costs so long i get my self a place there.
Hope to hear from you
Thanks
Patricia
