Leah,

I think the CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER has really FAST TRACKED the Consular Processing. Just make sure your I-140 approval petition reaches the NVC. There are some cases that were reported to be missing or file was not received by NVC.

By the way do you have dependents? (spouse or kids?)

California right now is about 6 months start to finish for those that are already over here. Those are the latest numbers form the attorneys here that I am in contact with. So it shouldn't be much different for those across the Pacific.

Ray, i think i already signed the choice of agent, is it the form G-28?..i signed it in January together with form ETA-750b..
It's a good thing I registered with USCIS website to receive notifcations/updates thru e-mail about my case status . I texted their staff in Manila to inform them that my I-140 was approved already, of course they dont know the latest about my case..I was the first one to know!!!

I want to ask all of you, is it time for me to register to the CA-BRN for eligibility to sit for NCLEX?..
I am starting to review (on my own) Suzanne's articles, and some review materials from PresC that she left for me (thanks PresC!!!)..

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!!

leah

Leah,

The form G-28 will automatically informed NVC that your agent of choice will be the one who filed your petition. That is your lawyer, You can expect him to receive the visa fee bill with in the month.

Call the NVC if you do not receive any confirmation from them after 90 days from the approval of your I-140 petition.

Will your agency pay for the Visa Fees of your spouse and kids? How about legal fees?

For the ds-230 forms ( Packet 3 ), you need to prepare your marriage, birth cetificates of yours, husband and children in security paper. You can get it at NSO. Also you need to get NBI clearance for you and for your husband. You will submit these documents together with your DS-230 forms for the visa processing in the next couple of months.

If you spent a year or more in other countries, you also need to get a polcie certificate from them.

rep:

we're still waiting for packet3.

without jumping the gun too much, do we need to get local police clearance (even if we did not spend a very long time outside the country) along with the NBI clearance?

thanks...

The agent says the employer will advance fees - salary deduction for my spouse and kids. They say I will not pay anything. But I will be shouldering their Medical Fees, Visa and plane ticket. And they will reimburse my exam fees.

Thanks Dale!

If you did not stay outside the country for more than 6 months, you do not need to get a police clearance. They will ask you copies of documents (NBI clearance, birth certificate, etc)as part of your packet 3, suggest you get these documents already. This will lessen the turnaround time of sending back your packet 3 to your agency/lawyer

thanks for the advise, my friend.

i believe wifey has completed all those already (and were forwarded to agency, specifically for P3 requirements).

if i remember right, the agency had us fulfill the DS230 forms months ago to lessen time and motion of P3.

now, we're at the mercy of the couriers, i think.
