On August 20, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence. It is taking between 270 and 300 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

WHat does this mean?

Hi Leah,

It means that they are going to review again your petition and it would take awhile. But don't worry because processing in California is fast for the meantime.

I emailed the attorney in charge of my case, but there was no reply...i was just confuse, because if they have years of experience in the immigration business, how come they missed to pass a certain document or requirement needed for my I-140 processing??

The wait is KILLING me!!!!!

They usually ask for accounting figures of your employer. Believe me the WAIT is worth it...rather to be stuck in the Philippines forever!

Leah,

I think your agency or attorney will know what the documents is. USCIS will send them a letter and will ask for that document. Sometimes, before the USCIS will decide on a case or petition they would require additional documents which were not included during the initial filing.

I also agree with Dale, that USCIS will also check the financial records of your employer and they would ask additional documents to support the financial statments submittted by your agency. Let us just hope that they will decide favorable to your case.

By the way, a nurse with our own agency has a similar situation. USCIS had asked for additional document. After submitting that document, it took 3 months for them to decide.

When your attorney will submit that "additional document," start the countdown. You will get your approval.

I e-mailed NVC which replied that "the immigrant processing bill
(for the DS-230s) has been sent to the attorney of record."

I tried calling up my agency but we only have access to their voice
mail. They replied via e-mail that the fees will be paid soon, but with
no specific date mentioned. I didn't get any replies with further inquiries from them. Its a U.S. travel nursing company in TX with which I signed up for a 2 1/2 year contract. They had an office in Manila which was closed soon after the retrogression early this year, after which it had been difficult to follow up my papers.

Now I'm worried. People who passed the CGFNS the same time as I last year, will be interviewed this month at the U.S. Embassy. I've already passed the NCLEX...Can anybody give me advice? Does this happen with travel nursing companies?

What do you actually know about this company that you signed a contract with? Did you do your homework first with researching them?

Unfortunately, nothing will be done in any way until the fee is paid. If you were receipted one year ago, and have had approval since January, something is very fishy about this agency. You definitely should be having an interview already.................do they have a website that is still up?
If you want, send me the name of the agency, as well as contact number, etc. that you have and I will see what I can find out for you. They may not be in business any longer........
