if i remember right, the agency had us fulfill the DS230 forms months ago to lessen time and motion of P3.

now, we're at the mercy of the couriers, i think.

How do I say this...let me try

1. Start of the employment engagement with agency...agency wil require you to sign the contract and send you a PDF copy of DS230 form. You will forward the accomplished DS230 and signed contract to them with photocopies of the required documents.
2. As soon as the packet 3 is released by NVC to agency, lawyer, they will forward the accomplished packet 3 to you for your signature and/or correction if you have any. They will ask again for the copies of the updated documents (NBI, Birth cert, etc)
3. You forward the signed packet 3 back to your agency/lawyer, and they will send it back to NVC for review.

So what I mean is you have to prepare another set of updated documents together with the accomplished packet 3.

Hope this clarifies, and helps...

soo depressing... help!!

dear suzzane, dale, dhel and anyone who can answer my inquiry,

Hi everyone! I was interviewed last Sept.1,2005, but since I didnt finish my medical exam before the interview, I had to go back to the embassy to submit the result of my medical. I went back last Sept.6. It has been two weeks and I still havent got my visa yet. huhuhu are there really cases like this? I heard from the others they only waited for 3-5 days after interview. I hope you can lighten up my worries. thank you very much! Congratulations to all who received their visas already.

Need Help

Folks,
I have a problem with the documentation-My Birth Certificate. And I don't know whether it is the right thread to ask my doubts…

Please help me...

Due to some problem my birth was not registered in the village I was born. My agency said all I have to do is get a NON AVAILABILTY certificate instead of Birth certificate. And I have got it months back. Is there any validity period for the non availability certificate? Somebody told me that using the non availability certificate I have to file a case in court and get a new birth certificate.

The next problem is there is a name difference in my husband’s birth certificate and all the other documents like passport, degree certificate etc. His BC has 1 name and all the other documents are having another name. But we have an affidavit and letters from government department saying that both the name belongs to the same person.

Would this be a problem in Consulate here in Chennai? I am from India..

Awaiting for valuable comments.

Thanks and Regards
Nimisha

without jumping the gun too much, do we need to get local police clearance (even if we did not spend a very long time outside the country) along with the NBI clearance?

thanks...

If you spent a year or more than that then you have to get a Police Certificate from the country where you stayed for a year. You can also check the website of the US Embassy here in Manila regarding that.

Expect your visa anytime soon! Usually it get a little delay if initially your documents are not complete, but dont worry too much, you'll receive it anytime soon.
