Re: New Zealand RN

depends on which state you would like to move to. Each state has its own board of nursing which you would need to register for the nclex. Pay also depends on your experience. Good luck =)

Re: New Zealand RN

Moved to the International forum,

Suggest you read this Primer to working in the USA As all information will be there on what to do. We also have a great NCLEX forum under the student tab with hint and tips for taking the exam. Did you do RMN training or RN training may have some issues if you did your RMN training as generally US training is general and then you specialise

Re: New Zealand RN

Hi Lisa

I am a New Zealand RN about to start work in the US. I completed my Diploma of Comprehensive Nursing in 1992 and Vermont BON didn't have a problem with my training. All in all it took me 8 months from starting the process to passing NCLEX. If you have any questions about the licensure process PM me.

The main issue is getting a visa. I married a US citizen so it was easier for me. There is a lot written here about NCLEX and visas and it's very useful information.

All the best, it's quite an undertaking.
