As I read it as long as your training was in English they will assess your application but if they are unsure in any way they will inform you that CES is required. If not in English then you have to get CES done first

Re: New changes to licensure in the US

That's sad.

I have a 485 pending with valid work permit, and also have my RN education in the US, And I cannot get license from AZ?

Re: New changes to licensure in the US

You have a valid work permit, so there has to be other issues as to why you cannot get a license there.

Re: New changes to licensure in the US

The following is the exact word from your post:
[AZ requires proof of citizenship or green card before they will issue a license to you that contains the Compact Pact part of the license.]

It does not say anything about AOS status. That's why I was wondering.
I didn't even apply for AZ.

They will not issue a license that is for the Compact License if one does not have legal residence in that state, and that means paying taxes there.

AOS is actually not a status, there is no visa with that, it is a temporary status only, one is in limbo with it as they have no actual visa while things are being processed for them.

As long as one is legally in the US and has a valid visa to work, they can get a license issued from there.

June 12, 2008
Washington Board of Nursing will require CES Full Education Course-by-Course Report starting today

Effective June 12th, the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission (i.e., Board of Nursing) will begin requiring the CES Full Education Course-by-Course Report for RNs and LPNs applying for licensure by exam. Applicants applying for endorsement may have copies of transcripts forwarded to the Board, or a CES Report.

Washington will continue to accept the CP certificate for RNs applying for licensure by exam or endorsement.

Re: New changes to licensure in the US

FOR FOREIGN EDUCATED NURSES:

the state of CA now has a 3-year expiry date on nurses license via examination. meaning, if you will not and cannot enter the US within 3-years after passing your CA-NCLEX exam, your license will be forfeited.
