looking for an employer

hi! I recently passed the NCLEX exam for the state of NEW YORK. I am also a CGFNS & IELTS passer. I've applied for the visascreen. Im looking for an EMPLOYER to sponsor me. How do i look for an employer?? I need an adjustment of visa from tourist to immigrant.

sad to say but you can't apply for adjustment of status! you need to wait for the EB3 or Schedule A to be Current to be eligible for adjustment of status! you need also to be in US for at least 90 days before filling...

You cannot PLAN for adjustment of status from a tourist visa because that's illegal. Sometimes, you got lucky. While on vacation in the US, suddenly the visa bulletin shows current, and then only then you can adjust your status to immigrant legally and this you do not plan because it is hard to predict the visa bulletin.

you need to find employer by approaching hospitals and seeing if they will petition but very hard in the NY area to find hospitals willing to petition foreign nurses. Plus there are no visas to adjust at the moment due to retrogression and to adjust you need to stay in status which at the moment I think you will find very hard to get extension on your visa. Much better to come home and do CP process
