Question Who can help me in getting H1 - work permit visa

I have cleared NCLEX - RN exam from California board of registered nurse. currently I am in USA on visitor visa and I would like to get either Green Card or work permit, Currently I am unable to get Green Card because of backlog. Could someone please help me who can help me in getting H1 -B visa that is Work permit visa? does any body know about any employer who are ready to file H1 visa for nurse?
I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Vandana

For bedside nurse there are not H1b visas available and much has been written on this forum recently regarding this, please take the time to read. Also with H1b can not file until April, usually gone in hours and can't start work until October if lucky to get it and no way to be able to stay in the US whilst being processed. I think the best thing you can do is return home and start CP processing. Many nurses are caught up in retrogression

Re: ??NCLEX in Vermont or Cali???

If you are from Australia and hold an Australian passport, then you may qualify for the E-3 visa which is a treaty visa similar to the one called the TN Visa for nurses from Canada and Mexico. That usually needs to be applied for while you are actually in your country, you may wish to check with the immigration officials here about it.

But be aware that you must possess the Visa Screen Certificate and have it in hand before an employer can submit for this visa for you. It also cannot be done immediately like the TN Visa so you may not be able to remain in the US while it is being processed.

It would be best if you ask VT directly but most who applied there said that they were indeed required one. If you are born in the Phil. and still holds a Filipino Citizenship, there are no legal impediments for PRC not to let you take it.

Please update on us on Ms. Swenson's reply.

I have practiced nursing as defined in 26 V.S.A. § 1576, for at least (check the appropriate statement):
120 days (960 hours) in the last 5 years or 50 days (400 hours) in the last 2 years

Re: Licensure in VT or CA?

Title of thread edited since there is no way to apply directly for the NCLERX exam, only application is for licensure as an RN, and there is no mention of the NCLEX exam on the form.

i'm just curious, what can happen if i won't be able to work in vermont within 2 years due to the retrogression? if my license expires, can i still renew it even after 5 years? or, can i renew it even if i'm in the Philiipines?
