Be hired by a hospital directly or through an agency?

I read some threads that some ppl say agency would exploit and sign a horrible contract (some nurse even got negative paycheck after hardworking...), but they do have lots of resources and credits...

I feel its hard to get a job as a foreign nurse without SSN. I'm contacting a agent, they are professional and active, I haven't signed any contract though.

How many traps are there? anyone has experience or heard of anything?

I would terminate if its really terrible.

Thanks!!!!

The agency is not any different from an employer, you still will need to have the SSN# to begin work.

Depends on the payment plan that the agency has, they do not work for free; they are either paid 100% by the facility, or by the nurse, or a combination of both. You can have $5 per hour taken from your check for a total of $10,000 per year for the life of your contract.

Be very careful with signing anything and then thinking that you can just get out of it if it is not what you want or were expecting. Many of them have large cancellation clauses, to the tune of about $25,000 per year and that is not a good thing. And they will go after it to get it from you.
