hello everyoane

My name is Loredana and I'm from Romania, I like your site. I am RN Nurse in my country and in May I will come to America, in St. Louise-MO, because I have won DV Loterry and I got an american visa. My question is> what can I do for assessment of my studies in your country. Thank you very much! :Snow:

You need to follow requirements for the state BON for foreign trained nurses http://pr.mo.gov/boards/nursing/rnoutside.pdf

Nurse Re: hello everyoane
Thank you! I would like to work as a nurse or something in the hospital and do the assessment of my studies while I work. Would that be possible?

to work as a RN you have to have passed NCLEX and will not get the OK to sit NCLEX until you have been assessed

You will have a green card when you arrive in the US, so you will be able to begin work right away; but not as an RN. You will be able to get a job in a hospital in another role while you are going thru the process.

You may start the process now as far as getting your credentials evaluated by CGFNS. You do not need to wait until you arrive here, you may find it easier to start before coming while you are still in your home country.
