Hi to all!

Wow! What a forum. Thanks a lot to the one who made this website very informative. I am new to this website and I hope someone could help me explain with regards to approve I-140.

My I-140 is already approved. Just want to ask you guys after this approval, when will the DS-230 forms will be given to me? Will there be a delay on the arrival of my DS-230 since retrogression is still ongoing?

Yes. That is what retrogression is about. Everything above the I-140 are on-hold and will only proceed once retrogression is lifted or once the cut-off date on the Visa Bulletin moves forward and your PD is before that cut-off date. Once retrogression is lifted or the cut-off date moves forward beyond your PD (date when I-140 was filed for nurses) then that is only the time that NVC will proceed in sending the Visa Fee Bill and the Ds-230 form is only processed once NVC gets the fee. If there is an instance when there will be retrogression again on any step beyond I-140 then everything stops again up to the last point that was done.

Thanks for the reply sir. Since my PD is July 2007, so you mean to say that it will took a couple of years for me to wait the arrival of my DS-230 forms? I am planning to apply in KSA for my first working experience for the meantime while waiting for the DS-230 forms. Should I go for it? Any suggestion from you sir?

Yes we are saying that. Current PD is 2002 for the Philippines and until retrogression is resolved or moves forward you are looking at a few years. Definitely get work experience whilst waiting.

Just to add retrogression started at the end of Oct 06 so plenty in the queue in front of you

Are you sure your PD is July 2007 ie is that the date your I140 was submitted? I know a few that had their I140 filed with Nebraska in Nov 06 and still waiting and current date for processing with Nebraska is April 07? Just wondering
