There are currently a retrogression at the moment affecting visas and you are looking at approx 5 years before getting a visa to work in the US. Also to work you need to meet US requirements and pass NCLEX, find an employer who will then start the process.

You need to decide which state you want to work in and apply to their Board of Nursing (BON) and follow requirements for foreign nurse. Some BON's require CES from CGFNS and we recommend full course. We do not recommend California for initial licensure and plenty has been written on that.

Suggested reading is sticky Primer to working in the US and threads on Retrogression and immigration issues as you are affected and no quick way to get to the US

Re: Advice On Right Path To Take

As a nursing intern, that still requires a visa to be able to work in the role of the RN and those are not available at present as mentioned above.
