neuro-ICU info

Hi- I am about to enroll in a RN-BSN program. I have been volunteering at a long term care facility and have closely been studying the progress of a pt. who had a traumatic brain injury. I really enjoy the therapy part of it and I realize that that is mainly left up to the OT, PT, SLP, etc. However, what exactly to neuro-ICU nurses do on a daily basis? I really enjoy seeing this man learn to speak and notice things, etc. Any information would be helpful!

Mary
