All I know is: it is a neurosurgical procedure, it has to do with "patching" dural tears/holes in the brain & spinal column.

There are some synthetic dura materials made as well as using cadaver fascia lata. We also sometimes use a fibrin glue to make sure everything is sealed quite securely.
