ONE MINUTE PRAISING

Help the people reach their
full potential
Catch them doing something right

1.Praise the people immediately

2.Tell people what the did right.... be specific

3.Tell people how good you fell about what they did right & how it
helps the organization

4.Stop moment of silence to let them ''feel'' how good you feel

5.Encourage them to do more of the same

6.Shake hands or touch people in a way that makes it clear that you support their success in the organization

Re: Second secret of one minute manager

Thank you for this valuable info.Even though Iam not a manager we do team nursing at my facility.I will communicate the positive things my team members have performed i.e having vitals signs available, communicating to me those vitals outside of the parameters and keeping rooms tidy etc.I suppose some might say "those are things that they should do anyway."But many do not.
