Me too about 6 months ago, after working the most hectic, disorganized job I ever had in perioperative services..believe me, the stress level has almost decreased. It is a different kind of stress but I tell you, being honest with the employees and standing up for them is the best thing you can do for yourself. Work the floor a bit to get respect from your nurses and keep a positive attitude! I got a raise already and feel ever grateful to a bad manager for making my life miserable and getting rid of me.... she got more problems than she realized! Didnt know how much work I actually did. Now she's got to do it. BIG head went with the job title.
Its a great change and a challenge. I needed that. Hope you do well.
where I work is a small nursing home, very small. I make about 42000 annually, my insurance paid, salary. I havent had to work much OT, and I get to take time off to make up the difference. They have been fantastic to me and have had bad experiences with past DONS. Good luck and hey, lets keep in touch and bounce things off eachother. I am new too! BTW I am promised 1k raise in October on my annual.
