Reality Shock Research

Hello. I am looking for information/commentary on the topic of "reality shock." Does it exist? Do you know of any recent books/periodicals on the subject? Does anyone have relevant experience to share? I am thinking of writing an article on this topic, but am having trouble finding current information.I'd appreciate your input.
