Recently, we've run into some difficulties with our admission process. How do your physicians notify you when they want to admit a patient. Do they call the unit directly, or notify your registration department, etc?

I would appreciate any feedback.

We have a centralized staffing/bed assignment office that takes those calls. Unless it's an ICU pt and then they call the unit and speak with the charge nurse.
