Re: wound care research, Wound packing

Hi, I do a wound care clinic in Home Health. How about doing a comparison study between wound care packing products...like nu gauze with saline, vs Iodiform gauze, vs Restore, vs aquacel ribbon, the pros and cons of each..that should keep you quite busy for a while. Joanne

Re: wound care research, Wound packing

First you need to decide on what it is you want to research about wound packing..do you want to research the types of packing for surgical wounds and the effectiveness of wound healing? or look at a sample of wound packing such as iodoform gauze packing and compare it with using the wound vac and compare the healing time. Do a literature search on wound packings and healing times, make sure the articles are recent, no more than 5 years is what we were taught in research class. From there you can start to develop you question that you want to research. Good luck..
