RN wound debridement

I am a WCC and have taken a sharp debridement course. I am told by the course lecturer that California RN's may do sharp debridements once they have completed an approved course and have been signed off by a wound care specialist (RN, PT, PA or MD). Does anyone have the California Nurse Practice Act section that address this issue or has any experience with debriding in CA? If you have any information can you email me at sweettrn@yahoo.com. Thanks!

For california this woudl fall under standardized procedures for teh facility you work in. go to www.rn.ca.gov and look for the practice publication on standardized procedures.
