hi i recently got an offer for a QI nurse position and a disability nurse position.
I was wondering which has a better job prospect?
Where can a QI nurse work?
What is the demand?
How does your typical day look like in doing QI?
Thanks in advance for the replies!
Depends what type of QI position you are looking for. In the hospital, there are core measures as well as National Patient Safety goals.
Educational experience needs to be high since you will be evaluating standards of care. Must be computer literate and experience with data management.
Kimmy,,
I was a QI nurse for nearly 2 years. They wanted someone with a wide range of nursing experience of more than 5 years, strong leadership skills, strong computer and interpersonal skills that is detail-oriented.
