Anyone have experience with Medical Site Reviewers?

I have been contacted to do HEDIS reviews for MSR (Medical Site Reviewers) since Managed Access is no longer in businesss. Does anyone know what their pay scale is for these reviews? How does this company treat their nurses? I was also contacted by Outcomes, Inc but they offer $4.00 per chart and that is much less than I have ever received for doing these reviews. Any comments appreciated!

I looked at MSR and Outcomes but went with Outcomes last year and just got rehired today for this season. They said they are almost done hiring for this year.

Anyway I meant to add that I did 70-80 charts a day last season so that was around $40 an hour. Its only my 2nd year so others are faster but well see how long

Re: Anyone have experience with Medical Site Reviewers?

I did have experience with MSr,which this answer is a little late for you. it was 6 years ago and was not a positive experience. i was an experienced HEDIS data collector. there were some positives, but they were slow to reimburse and not responsive. they finally found that i was one of the few that they could depend upon to get the work done.

Re: Anyone have experience with Medical Site Reviewers?

I hate to say this but MSR is one of the worst companies I have ever worked for.

They treat their nurses and the medical records departments of the healthcare providers like crap. They don't return phone calls and they have merged with Founding Advisors, Inc. , another fly-by-night company as of January 1st of this year.

All of my fellow Minnesota nurses have have trouble with this company. One nurse had to declare bankruptcy when they failed to put her to work as promised.

I did some investigation of both companies and both of them have questionable business practices. They are discriminatory in regards to paying travel time and lie about what the benefits of the job actually are.

I have reported them to the Secretary of State's office for the State of Minnesota and to the Minnesota Commerce Department. I've also gotten the Washington Post to investigate their business and employment practices.

For the first four months of 2007 they were not even registered to do business in Minnesota as an out of state business as is required by state law.

Stay away from these clowns. They are poison and will ruin your life.

Thumbs down Re: Anyone have experience with Medical Site Reviewers?

I had the WORST experience ever! MSR is fraudalent. I worked for a prior big company for 10 years and was lurred in to MSR by a recruiter.
Their recruitor told me a pack of lies, about how awesome MSR was and all their great benefits. My second week of working for MSR, I got laid off for 3 months without any warning. Msr never told me that I would have slpit in my employement. Msr held my check for a very long time, I was cheated out of some of my hours worked, I did not get reimbursed correctly for my expenses. Msr also tried to deny me from getting Unemployment benefits. I pretty much lost everything but my mind.

Don't be stupid
