I had my back to him and all of a sudden I was wet...I thought he pulled the shower head down and sprayed me, but really the jerk peed all over me. One of our PAs helped me cut my scrubs off (I was NOT going to pull the shirt over my head) and got me some fresh scrubs...I threw away everything I was wearing, right down to my shoes. This patient is a regular and he has a huge bladder capacity...I've seen him FILL tow urinals...and it was all over me!

LOL...I was ****** beyond belief. I was so mad I was crying...very glad that the PA was standing there in the hall and saw the whole thing. I showered in the doctor's lounge and my house supervisor let me go home early...good thing since my bra, shoes, and socks were in the trash. Our department manager called the police and turned this patient in for urinating in public, battery, and harassment. The battery charge stuck and the guy actually got fined over the deal.

My friend told me this story (whose cousin is a Dr.) but it just sounds too unreal to me! Anyway, apparently this particular pt.'s anus was completely covered with genital warts, so he had to get a colostomy. When he came back in for a follow-up, his stoma was covered with warts as well!! Eeeww!!! Do people really have sex with their stomas?! I'm sure some of you guys have seen it all....

Some very disgusting but typical stories there. My very first job was as a carer in a nursing home. There was one very old man named Bob who suffered from alzheimers among lots of other things. He was also not a very clean man, bless him! One morning at the start of a shift I proceeded to go into his room to help him get dressed. Before I even got to the room the smell was making me feel very ill. When I went in with one of my colleagues we realised that Bob had decided to urinate and poo in the sink in his room. He had also decided to smear the faeces on his bed and use his cup to drink the urine from his sink. We just manged to get the cup from his hands before he had another mouthful!! Needless to say I did not eat at all that day. It didn't put me off at all though because I am still going on to train as a nurse in the new year! I must be mad!!

I have two, but they pale in comparison to some of these.

The first is similar to another. This lol had gotten a suppository earlier in the evening and was well know for "playing" in her BM. Needless to say, I was checking on her quite often to try to be sure that she didn't make a mess. I go in about 3am and check on her again and you can smell the BM in the hall. Before I even go in I gather all of my washclothes and linens and then walk in to her. In the process of playing I guess she got hungry, because most of the BM was in her mouth!!! YUCK!!!!

The second one isn't quite as bad, but makes me queasy just the same. One of the men in the same NH gets a hs snack. The aids that put him to bed seem to always *forget* to take his dentures out, so the job is left for me. Usually I don't really mind to much, but this guy will take his dentures out of his mouth, lick off all the bits and peices of food, and then hand them to me. EWWWW. I cannot even watch this, I get the denture cup in my hand and turn my head to look at anything else.
