While I was in training for my cna license I was working in a nursing home. One of my favorite patients(or should I say use to be my fav)had a habit of taking his pants off and urinating on the plants in the sun room. On this particular morning "Mr. Moon" got caught in the act, I walked up to him and politely told him that nobody wanted to see him doing this and he turned around and proceeded to wiz all over me from abou the waist down. All the other staff thought it was great , at least everyone had a good laugh at my expense. Also plenty of stories of elderly men trying to cop a feel pretending they couldn't see my name tag, I learned to pin it up on my shoulder after awhile. I love elderly patients they make for lots of laughs. Anyone ever caught two eighty somethings naked in bed? Lots of fun explaining why we couldn't allow them to "finish" Lol.

Speaking of MRSA--I was in the room as doc was lancing a large boil on a yound ladies hip, the nurse standing at the end of the bed was should I say a little bit OCD germaphobe dressed in her usual white scrubs , as soon as doc put slight pressure on it the purtulent discharge came shooting straight at the nurse all over her scrubs and I think in her hair, I had to finish for her by handing doc all the packing strips she took off screaming out of the room and nobody could find her for about an hour , she went to shower, we were questioning her career choice.LOL.

caught a ninety yo in bed with the van driver once. They weren't losing any time either. She had a smile on her face, but he got fired.

Ok, I know that sounds gross to you and I, who are not in our 80's, but for the two eighty year old ADULTS, with the desire to go for it! WOW! Why would you interfere and tell them they couldn't "finish"?? They are not minors, they are elderly adults, and unless one of the pair was not of sound judgement, entering into the act willingly, then is it right to stop two adults getting it together, just cause we think they are past it? Sounds like an invasion of their privcy and the human right of choice, (adult choice that is!). JMHO! What an embarrasment for them, to be caught and chastised like two teenagers......

When I'M 80 something...hope I have the energy to do the same!!!

Totally agreed!! Good for them!!! I hope i'm still gettin it on in my 80s and 90s!!

I didn't want to ruin their fun but the lady involved was not of sound mind and we didn't feel it appropriate to allow it to continue and I too hope that I have the energy when I am that age.

I was a 21 year old tech working in a burn unit.

We had a new amputee and I was opening my pts drsg for the morning assessment. Being 21, I had no concept of time management and had not eaten breakfast.

I was taking the drsg off and noticed that they didn't leave any extra skin to flap the stump. I asked why when the surgical resident came in.

He says "oh that's not muscle, its a clot." Grabs the softball sized clot, and starts pulling it off as it strings along.

I promptly puked in the trash can, I barely had enough time to get my mask off.

I don't know why this grossed me out so much, you think after working in a burn unit I could stand just about anything.
