ROFL These are all so great, and so true!!!

You know you're a nurse when you tuck your sick child into bed and tell them "if you need anything, just use your call light." OOPS!!! Guess you'll just have to call out for me!!

So, does that mean you can tell a nurse because you LOOK like one?
I was looking at a treadmill at Sears the other day and asking questions about it. At one point, the salesman said the same thing, "Are you a nurse?" Astounded, I said, "yes, how did you know?!" He said, "Oh, I don't know...you just look like a nurse and you sound like a nurse too." Hmmm!!! Just what does that mean?! Was I inadvertently assessing him?! LOL.

Speaking of pagers!! I was sleeping after a night shift, and had left my pager on the dresser. It went off, I stumbled out of bed, tripped over the couch at the end of the bed, and BROKE MY TOE!!

It was the office paging me, asking me to work again that night. I had to tell them no. I was off work for 3 or 4 weeks....

boy, was the dispatcher embarrassed!

You know youre a nurse when most of your hems are held up with micropore, your first aid kit contains no commercially available dressings, when the kids have friends over and they hurt themselves the kids do the dressings, you know about 500 non-medical things you can use a pair of clamps for, you have a full set of cancer council coffee cups.
