Talking Pearly Gate

I hope I didn't read this one here. . .

A prominent physician died and was sent to Heaven. He saw there was actually quite a long line at the Pearly Gates where St. Peter was stationed. Being a man of high moral character and a physician, he immediately went to the front of the line and accosted St. Peter. He told him that since he was a dr. and cared for his fellow man, blah, blah, blah, that he most certainly deserved a quick entrance to Heaven. Alas, St. Peter cut him no slack and sent him back to stand in line. A while later another dr. went running past and right by St. Peter and through the gate. The first dr. went to protest.

St. Peter said, "Oh, I'm sorry sir. That was God. He thinks he's a doctor."

Even if you did read it here, it's better every time I hear it.

I've got a true one:
Several years ago one of our orthopedic surgeons had a son that went into practice with him. One evening while making rounds with one of our internal medicine docs, I over heard him tell a patient (he apparently knew quite well), that we not only had "god" working at our hospital, we had the "son of god" working there too.

what's the difference between GOD and a doctor? GOD doesn't think he's a doctor!
