i heard this from a classmate of mine..she was taking care of a an infant with colds and flu. She was explaining something to the mother when she (mother) said, "I think her cold, she got it from a various." We were all thinking what "various" was. Somebody from the back laughed out loud... "she meant virus" (various=virus)

another time i had a patient who cannot urinate, first thing i did was to turn on the bathroom faucet (drip2x), it didn't work...we tried the hot and cold application, it did work!! YEHEY! when i was about to end my shift (students still). my patient came up to me and said "Thank you so much for helping me back there, the 'internet' hot and cold application did a miracle." hahaha he meant alternate=internet

another time i met a past patient in the lobby... i asked her how she was and she answered me "oh im good now dear, i just came here for my x-tray" x-tray=x-ray

i truly understand how and why they get things wrong...i just want to share it to all of you
