Marla - On the news last night it just said he made the lip-synch video and emailed it to a friend who emailed it to a friend and it went on from there. I guess there have been a few of these . . . I've never received one though - probably because I'm not a teenager.

Well, I showed it to my teenage daughter and she agrees with the "blithering idiot" comment. I'm not so old-fashioned afterall. :hatparty:

The song is called "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone, which is a boy band trio from Moldova (sp?) in Romania. It was a huge hit last year in Europe, especially Germany. I have it on the UK hit set called "Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 58". I played it over and over, it's such a catchy song.

I used to watch the video at dotmusic (lanuch) and I'll try to find the link if it's still on their playlist. It has the words in English.

Some peopel don't like it and some think it is great.

I think people liked it because first, the song is catchy. Second, watch his face expressions, they are funny and yet it matches and also sync with the song. Also you can see that he just enjoyed it and having some fun.

Marla - I have to mention though that I have watched the cult hit "Napolean Dynamite" twice and loved it. Being the odd person out rang some bells with me PLUS the dance sequence is so good because here is this nerd kid who turns out to dance well and takes a chance at looking like a fool for his friend.

That is what the newscaster said last night . . that he matched the lyrics well. Both newscasters loved it and they are old fuddy duddies on a local news show in a rural area.
