Joe Bob and Bubba were sitting on the porch a rockin' away and Joe Bob turned and asked "You heard anything from your boy off at that there college lately?"
"Yup, I sure did - got a letter just tha other day" Bubba replies
"Well how's he doin'?" Joe Bob asks
Bubba says"Well I'll tell ya - You know he got him one of them there BS degrees - and we both know what BS stands for"
"Yup" Joe Bob agrees "I shore do know what BS is"
Bubba says "Well then he went on and got himself something he called a MS degree"
"What's that?" Joe Bob asked
Bubba says "Well the nearest I can figger out that there stands for 'More of the Same' but that ain't the end of it"
"Well what's goin' on now?" Joe Bob asks
Bubba says "His last letter he sent tells us he has done went and got himself something called a PHD"
"What in tarnation is a PHD?" Joe Bob asks
"Well, the nearest I can reckon is that stands for Piled Higher and Deeper"
