The charge nurse was speechless and I tried to hold back the laughter myself.

OMG... Although I'm white, I grew up in Hawaii, and it irks when me when people call Asians oriental. "Oriental" is an adjective used for rugs!

Well the same can be said about people calling white people"white" or black people"black". Unless you are the color of paper then you are not white, more like a peach,or some a bronze/tan color; and unless a person of color is the color of a piece of coal then they are not black(more like mocha, chocolate,caramel, etc). lets face it most terms used to describe race are incorrect.

I guess I overlooked the Asian/Oriental thing because I get called Oriental all the time. I was more shocked at the fact that this girl thought I couldn't be Catholic because I'm Asian. Most people would find it hard to believe Asians are Christian. Guess it would shock them to know that there's a huge Jewish population in China.
