Post Crazy Tampon Commercial

Has anyone seen the new Tampax commercial where it tells women to "use your period for good"? If you buy Tampax they will provide young girls in Africa with sanitary products and help them go to school.

Where to these marketers come up with these crazy slogans? I thought the Benefiber commercial where it suggests that drinking fiber is sexy was crazy, but this one is a step beyond that.

They could have at least said if you buy Tampax we will donate xxxx amt of money to provide young African girls sanitary products so they can go to school.

I thought it was a great commercial just the way it was. Here's the story if anyone wants to check it out: http://www.protectingfutures.com/

Great idea actually, just bad, bad wording, especially to a female with PMS! Did a man think that slogan up?
(never saw the ad btw, am not in the US!)

Re: Crazy Tampon Commercial

I have a feeling a man came up with that slogan. I am having visions of a caped super heroine with a tampon on her chest.

Have you seen the T-shirt they are selling? Now that's carrying it way beyond what is acceptable. Gee, I bet some idiot will buy one and actually wear it...what ya think?

Re: Crazy Tampon Commercial

Are the condom companies going to provide free condoms and education to males if we buy their brand of condom? After all, a man can be good for change.
