I read this funny little story about a child in the PICU and thought you would enjoy it as much as I did. At this particular hospital the PICU and NICU were side by side and seperated by a glass window. In the PICU a 3 year old boy was being held NPO because he was to go for surgery the next morning. He was standing up in his crib and looking through the glass and said to the nurse "When you gonna be done cookin' that chicken, I'm hungry." He was talking about the little premature infant in the radiant warmer in the NICU unit. Poor little fellow was hungry.
