IN AN EFFORT TO HOLD THE LINE ON ESCALATING MEDICAL COSTS,
THE HOPITAL IS REDUCING THE NUMBER OF BEDPANS NOW IN USE TO
ONE (1).

ALL PATIENTS WILL BE ASSIGNED A NUMBER,

LOL i'm hanging that one in the break room on my old floor! We have a sign in the "plastics" closet saying that supplies were limited and only deliveered on certain days. Overheard the charge nurse say "well s*** what are we supposed to do, make the pts. take a number for the one bedpan on this floor??"

I'd of thought most facilities would go for this idea.

Cost savings, environmentally conscious, AND a sure eliminator of all the cold bedpan complaints! This is a win-win-win!

What the heck am I missing?
