Thank you folks for answering my previous questions!! So I was wondering, when you're at OBLC, will you be considered active duty?? Will you get paid while at OBLC. 9 weeks seems to be a while to go without income...
But one thing they don't tell you is that you get paid per diem and that does NOT include housing pay. I asked because I was wondering how I will pay my house payment for my family while I will be gone.
I am currently in OBLC and yes you will get paid BAH and BAS if you qualify. The only problem is that it will take approx before you see a check. OBLC cadre are great they know that the time is very demanding and if you have any financial problems during OBLC they will help you out. I still have 5 weeks left and you must be physically and mentally prepare for OBLC. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me. I will be posting pictures in my photobucket and our experiences..
