Finally made it to MEPS today...Friday the 13th! After two cancellations of scheduled trips, everything was finished today! Yeah! Now just await the results of the labs, etc. and my packet is ready to go.

It is quite an adventure when you are "over 40"!

A couple of people asked by "real" hair color and I had to keep telling them the gray is the "real" color...they didn't really want to believe that

Yeah, I well remember when I made that trip to MEPS. I call it one of the circles of Hell, sigh.
I really, really couldn't believe it when the Doc asked me to jump up on the exam table so that she could check out that i was 100% female! HELLO! And how a bout that Duck Walk?
Well, I hope that you don't have to wait all that long before you get that all important phone call as to when you can take your Oath!

Congratulations that you are done with Meps! Good luck on the rest of your packet.

Mine will be going in (again) as regular Army this time, as soon as my paperwork comes back from my school lenders (for the bonus of loan repayment incentive).

My hopes are to get in also and to go to the October 2007 OBC.

Ha, Dante's inferno.

I think they should suggest the Meps website before we go so that people know what to expect. I read it and there were no surprises for me. I felt for the 15 other women who were not expecting the vulva visual, (yet, at least Meps doesn't do the "cervical" exam!)
