MEPS next week

I was wondering if someone could tell me what to expect during the my MEPS next week. I'm 36, and my recruiter told me it would be 'ugly'.

I'm about to leave for work so unfortunately I don't have the time to find the link for you, but about.com used to have some really good information about the military, especially the entrance procedures likes MEPS and basic. I know this because I spent A LOT of time surfing their military site when I was considering going into the army a few years ago. I'd check them out... they used to have a nice forum too dedicated to military Q&A including a nice section for questions from incoming soldiers. Hopefully it's still there!

Best of luck!

I managed to find one of the links that I was thinking about while on break here at work.

FYI: If you are going in as an officer you usually do not have to go to MEPS you can go to the nearest military base and get a normal military physical. Just one of the things nobody told me until after I went to MEPS, and I was by far the oldest recruit there. I was even older than most of the staff, but I was treated well.

thanks, but I already went through MEPS. I actually was sworn in as 1LT this past Tuesday. It wasn't a fun experience, but it wasn't that bad. What I can say is that it was a little humbling seeing all the 18 and 19 years old girls about to cry because they had to get a breast exam, yet they were about to enter basic. But at least I now know I'm officially a girl! lol1 (if you're a girl and been to MEPS you know what I mean by that)

Only know from my female friends, but they do a peek test at MEPS to make sure you're a female!

Congratulations! Did you go Army or Air Force? What base did you get?
I'm at Keesler AFB.
