OK, I'll bite, since I
am in administration but don't get to decide how much my staff is paid.
SOOOOOOOO.........I would start my caregivers at $12 an hour depending on experience (they currently get $8.76), my medication assistants/shift supervisors at $14-15/hr. DOE (currently $9.15), and give them merit raises for outstanding work (we get a 3% cost-of-living raise each spring, but zero incentives for good attendance or performance bonuses). I would also pay extra for CNA/CMA certification, and oh, yeah, I'd also give myself more time off each year.
