How easy is it to become a PA as an Army Reservist?

I was told by a fellow 68Whiskey soldier that an applicant did not need 3 years of active duty to become a PA (waivable) and that even if you don't exactly have the prerequisites, you can go to Fort Sam and take the prerequisites (RCC) there and then apply for the PA school. I also know you have to score atleast 1500 on the SAT to get in regardless of your degree educational status and having commendations from NCO/CO would help too.
Anybody care to enlightened me on this?
