Coast Guard Nursing?

Hi all,

I was curious if the coast guard hires nurses, and if so, does anyone know anything about it? Thanks!

I believe the Coast Guard uses the USPHS for their healthcare. Therefore, they don't have "direct commission" programs like Army/Navy/AF do.

The Coast Guard has enlisted corpsman, but no nurses. Nurses, physicians, mid-level providers and other health care professionals/officers are assigned from the Public Health Service.
