Civilian Nusing in NC

I have been trying to figure out how to apply for civilian nurse positions at either of these two hospitals ( Fort Bragg and /or Camp Lejeune), from what I understand there is a need for nurses but it's not very clear as to how to apply for these positions.. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Civilian Nusing in NC

Hi, you can apply at Womack Army Medical Center (Ft. Bragg) through USA jobs on the internet, they are currently hiring RN's in ICU, Stepdown, NICU, & Mother/Baby. You can also call the civilian personnel office, althought I don't have the number. Hope this helps!

Are you still fresh out of school? If so Womack requires at least 1 year of nursing experience. They do not hire new grads with Spectrum or GS positions. I am not sure about Lejune.

Re: Civilian Nusing in NC

The 1 year experience is required for specialized areas (NICU, ICU). However, several new grads were hired recently for my unit, Mother/Baby. They are GS positions, Womack no longer uses Spectrum or other contract nurses in the Maternal Child Health depts.
