CA corpsman trying to get a phlebotomy license

I've worked in an acute care department and an ER, and I have done countless needle sticks, and I was wondering if there was any way getting around to get my license without having to do any more training. I know CA lets corpsman become LVN's with the proper military training (already put my application in), and was wondering if there were any other medical programs that did the same. Thnx.

Re: CA corpsman trying to get a phlebotomy license

Hi Doc. HM-3
I was a hospital Corpsman that served with the 2nd. Bat. 1st. Marine div. in Viet-Nam with a lot of good medical training but could do any such work outside the Navy untill I went to school.
I used the GI bill and got a BSN-RN which payed off very good for me.
I was able to work at the VA hospital and retired with a good pension.
I would advise you to get your RN so you can make more money.
Just a thought that worked for me.
