Army Nursing,what are the facts?

I am very interested in joining the army with my nursing degree and feel it may be a "calling" for me. But i have 2 young children and I am a single mom. I have spoke with recruiters who make promises such as college tuition for my children and great health care benefits but i have also talked to people who say these are false promises that come with plenty of hidden baggage. Anyone with any first-hand experience? I'd love to hear from someone that doesn't have a biast oppinion d/t current world events. I am also considering Reserves or the Air force if You've experienced that.Single mom's in the service please advise
