Question NCLEX-Style Test Question Writers/Reviewers

I am in the process of putting together an NCLEX review resource, and am needing to locate professional test question writers/reviewers for more information regarding this line of work. If anyone on this board has ever done this type of work before, can you share with me what type of educational background has been required, in the past, and what the pay scale was like? I've looked all over the internet and can find very little related to this type of work. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
