Desire to start my own business

Greetings Everyone,

I am a Nursing Student that is embarking upon completion of an LVN program and I am interested in the career from an employer perspective.

I am really excited about my future however I have come into contact with fellow nurses prodominantly RN's and of course the Dr.'s it was the most uncomfortable experience I have had thus far! My ordeal had me possibly
compromising my future in this field. I have never been surrounded by so
many professional people that have no communication or people skills and
it's such a disservice to the patients when they do not fulfill their obligations to the clients by providing exceptional service. Salary is what
is making not motivating but making these individuals clock in and exhibit rude and obnoxious behaviors that aren't warranted! Not to mention the employees are compromising their patients but not following through on protocol in addition to the Registered and Licensed employees that are taking the short cuts right along with the assistants. Thoughts of uncertainity had my mind racing I am a very diverse person and can adapt to any surrounding and multiple personalities but to be subjected to people that are bitter or burned out and that has them showing their distaste for their chosen profession has me looking at my choice at another angle. I do not want to loose my personality or have a negative outlook on what I do for a living which is helping patients that has had their physical or emotional well being compromised for one reason or another.

I respect RN's because of the vigorious, extensive and meticulius training that they endure to become NURSES! EXCEPTIONAL is a word I immediately think of with all of those years of training.

My interest lies in being an entreprenuer and reading the posts I have no idea as to where I am going to begin. I want to have a health care business and also a non nursing business. I am still young and I have an outlook of having more than one fire burning to secure my future I have no ambition to work for someone else for the rest of my life if I have to bust my butt
it most definately should be my own business I do it for!

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP WITH SUGGESTIONS OR WEBSITES I CAN BEGIN RESEARCHING MY PROJECTS. I APPRECIATE IT!

Thanks Again, and Good Luck to everyone in all of their endeavors.

Once you begin your nursing career, you will probably have all kinds of ideas about what type of business you wish to start. After getting some nursing experience, it will become more clear.

You can start here just to read and educate yourself about possibilities for the future:

As for your other concerns during your nursing program, I suggest you start a seperate topic in the General Nursing Student Discussion forum.

Good luck with the remainder of your nursing program and your plans as a future nurse entrepreneur. And, we hope you enjoy allnurses.com!!
