Just checking in.
Nightngale1998..did I me tion I have 3 teenage daughters oldest being 16 and now driving. Of Course i come from a family of 12 I being 6th out of the first 10boys and later 2 girls. One would have thought I would have been able to keep up the tradition. I kidded my Father before he died that I was sorry I couldnt. He as the wise man he was said "Son, now dont worry about that one more minute. I was once told by some friend that I didnt have the guts to shoot the Balls of you boys. Anyway, But you mother would stop until she finally had her MaryKate". I guess I would'nt be here today if MK was borne earlier in the line. Of course when I ask my mother, she denies this saying "Oh now Son, I would have had you anyway".

Diabetes shoes -nurse entrepreneur

So very glad to see other RNs interested in this. I started the business earlier this year and bill Medicare for all my patients. It is very lucrative! Did ICU for decades - now working for myself is heaven. To bill Medicare, I became a Board Certified Pedorthist (piece-o-cake!) I encourage others and wish I had partners to share the fun.

Yes...

Congratulations to you Azverte! Could you tell us more about how you got started?

Any insights as to backround of skills requiered etc.?

Was it difficult to get Medicare approved for billing?

This is wonderful! Do you have more then one supplier?

My hat is off to you in this endeavor. I bet you have experienced a wealth of satisfaction; it is also nice to hear you are profitable!

A New Endeavor!!!

As some of you may know, I have relocated to a new community. The relocation took place six months ago. I am settling in nicely with (finally) a small office for my business. It is time for me to spread my wings and branch out my business and try some new things. For me, the timing is perfect.

I, recently, was approved for contracting my business for skilled assessments for insurance companies. The reimbusement to my business is not great; I am excited about this because of the exposure to a different and varied client base.

I also, recently, applied for contracting my nursing to a DME that deals with Respiratory Supplies. Here, again, I will provide skilled assessments but with a concentration on The Respiratory System. I am almost reluctant to talk about this as I have not been offered the position. I do hope I get this contract. Again, the money is not great but the exposure and networking possibilites are great.

I do, so very much, long to spread my nursing into an area of wellness. In particular, I feel drawn to foot care. Lois has intrigued me for quite some time with her foot care business and now to read about the foot care and supplier of shoes sounds gratifying and profitable.

Without sounding like yoy are advertising your services, can we discuss the topic further. Probably a separate thread would be better. I did feel strongly that to start this topic here was best so more Entrepreneurs and soon to be Entreprenuers would see this post and discussion.

Should you not be sure if the topic is okay under TOS, feel free to PM me first.

In support and encouragement,

nightngale1998
