new and looking @ Cross country, PPR, RNN

I am inquiring about traveling and have spoken with Cross Country, American Mobile (haven't seen good things about them on the forums), PPR, Clinical One and RN network. Any input on any of these companies would be great. Thanks.

I've worked for RNNetwork for a year and a half. Excellent ins., great housing, good pay, double time for overtime. No complaints.

I worked for CC for 3 years while I traveled to Raleigh, NC. I worked at UNC the entire time and loved it. CC was great. Never had a problem with paycheck, housing, insurance. Of course, no matter what company you work for I think it boils down to how good your recruiter is. I had great recruiters who I could contact 24/7 by email or phone and they always got back to me ASAP. I took a 2 year permanent position but worked for CC again just last year when we relocated. Again, no problems. They are a big company and have a wide variety of assignments. The pay was competative. I have heard good things about RN network but have no personal experience. American Mobile..not so good. Good Luck!

i worked for cross country a few years ago but left them because they didn't offer free private housing
they are huge so they have lots of jobs - they are professional and efficient so you shouldn't have worried with paychecks and things - some of their pay and benefits may not be as high as some smaller agencies - remember when you speak to them to BARGAIN! you can get free private housing if you ask - or maybe an extra bonus or dollar and hour. but you must ask - and tell them you are working with another company as well

I've been traveling with Cross Country for 10 yrs. now. They have a huge volume of contracts in all areas, so are good if you want to really travel the country, and are more likely to be able to come up with contracts in specific areas.
The "shared housing" thing is being moderated and it is easier to negotiate private housing now at the start (after 2 yrs. it's automatic). The pay rate is pretty much in the mid-range for most areas and better for some.
I like the infrastructure of a larger company - always someone available to handle issues that arise.
