Temp to Perm positions

I was hired by a company through an agency that offered temp to perm position in telephone triage nursing. I am very excited and at the same time a little apprehensive. The agency told me that the company will hire you permanently if they find your competence in your position satisfactory. I wanted full time work and the flexible hours. I get paid through the agency and work for the company. The agency said that the company will hire me in 3-6 months. I was never hired in this capacity before and was concerned how does this type of position work. Will I actually be hired in time, or is the agency is just trying to fill temp positions for the company? Is there anything positive I can look forward to with this move. I gave notice at my other job in faith of this one. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: Temp to Perm positions

I work in medical communications for a CRO. Many of my co-workers came on as temps and all of them became permanent. I have never known anyone not to get an offer.

Re: Temp to Perm positions

That's difficult to solve. I will think about that.
