Post Telephone Triage Employment

I currently am a RN in Louisville, KY and work as a telephone triage nurse. I am looking to relocate and am having a hard time finding employers whom hire RN's as advice nurses. I was hopeing someone could lead me in the right direction with names of businesses or web sites to help me out? I am interested in Florida particularly, but would much appreciate info in any state. Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely

Heather

When you find out, let me know. I would like to stay in telephone triage as well. When you get a chance, I would like for you to post the pros and cons of hospital based telephone triage. Thanks.

Dear Heather, I am a peds telephone triage nurse in Flagstaff, AZ. I work for Flagstaff Medical Center, which has about 150 beds with a small pediatric floor. Flagstaff is absolutely gorgeous!! located at 7,000 ft. with a bigger mountain looming above us. The weather is actually quite mild though we do get snow in the winter. It's always bright and sunny so usually melts quick. The forests are cool in the summer and the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Lake Powell etc. are just a hop step and a jump away. So yes I love it here. We have a full-time peds triage position available, now. The conditions are very pleasant, docs nice, autonomy, not too stressful. If you're interested either e-mail me or call the nurse recruiter at 800-853-2313 (that # actually is for this office just ask to be transfered to the nurse recruiter) As an aside I lived in florida before I moved here and liked it but this for me is better. Try Miame Children's Hospital my friends tell me they have telepne triage now. Patty

I am in charge of a call center located in El Paso, Tx. We happen to have an opening in May 00 and will like to encourage you to find out more info about it. It is a full time civil sevice job in a Military hospital (William Beaumont Army Medical Center) this is a teaching hospital but we service only military and dependent families. respond to me if you want more info. It is strictly telephone triage using a computer software called Centramax plus.

Re: Telephone Triage Employment

Would you all mind letting me know a salary range for nurses who are working in telephone triage? I am going back to school and considering a job in telephone triage while I attend school. Any information you can provide I would greatly appreciate. Is it a very demanding position? Thanks for your help!
