career advice for working at home

I am a vocational consultant working with people that have become disabled. What are the best or greatest opportunites for nurses that want to work from home?
  • Are there companies that sub contract or allow employees to work from home in areas of triage or case management of some type?
  • Do you know of websites that I could go to to learn more about this?
  • Do you have some advice?
  • What about online teaching?
I am getting to know very talented nurses that simply can not work in the medical facilities. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: career advice for working at home

It might be worth you contacting WING - the work injured nurses group. They have a yahoo group here http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WINGUSA_Group/ for the USA and their own website at http://www.wingusa.org/. You don't state which country you are talking about - WING is also set up in the UK as part of the Royal College of Nursing www.rcn.org.uk
